It has been a while...

I think it was the talk of Traditional Family Christmases that sent me quiet, they don't feature much in our life. However a good time was had as we escaped to Paris to visit Disneyland and of course the Eiffel Tower! It has a rather jazzy
psychedelic light display on the hour now as well as glowing gold at night.
(Well I had not seen it before!)
Half term took us to Zell am See where
Christoph and Gottfried run a wonderful hotel on the slopes.

Life has been a little unsettled since the arrival of the new 'nextdoor' the developers. I had not realised how much I loved the Almond tree astride the front gardens until they removed it to lay a car park. No longer do I see birds and leaves out of the window but surburbia.

Ah well, we needed to move anyway.

Happy Christmas All

Its probably going to get colder, but hey - at least in three days time the days are due to lengthen again.

Warmest year? I remember it as being quite chilly for the first part. Then wet wet WET.

Ever wondered how to get rich quick?

£890 million would buy umm,
Happiness?

Apparently it can.

Humbug.

This hot September has been good for going into Town to do things with the little ones that it is a bit too hot and crowded to do in high summer; the crowds around Covent Gardens street performers being much lighter than usual .
We walked to the Eye to catch a Duck Tour, a World War 2 military vehicle ride. It's an amazing thing that drives around the streets and on to the Thames with commentary provided by comedians - very alternative.
Outside the festival hall there was an opportunity to join in the orchestra by way of a seat size speaker for each instrument where you could sit to just listen or play along.

Ah Summertime...

Petite Anglaise

Sad story but what a woman, her 33 things make me grin widely.
I can see why she has a readership of 3000.
It's 3001 now.

Midsummer

The house next door is 'sold subject to contract' and I'm quite excited at the prospect of New Neighbours . They have called by to check us out and happily we seemed to click in that short time. It will good to have friends next door.
The house needs a fair amount of updating so we may be in for a few months of building work but with a new baby on the way I think they will be keen to settle and nest with minimum fuss.
So now that the days will no longer lengthen I shall fill my glass and ponder half a year, what has been and that which is to come.
Cheers!
